HL Deb 13 August 1894 vol 28 c653

Order of the Day for the Second Reading, read.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY AND LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (The Earl of ROSE-BEKY)

This is a Bill, my Lords, which practically explains itself. It is only to give certain detailed facilities to the Commissioners of Woods, Forests, and Mines, founded on the recommendations of the Committee of the House of Commons on Crown Revenues of 1890. This Bill has itself been sifted by a Committee of that House of 1894. I shall be happy to answer any question about it, but I do not think it necessary to go into the details of the scheme.

Moved, "That the Bill be now read 2a."—(The Earl of Rosebery.)

Motion agreed to; Bill read 2a accordingly, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House To-morrow.
