HL Deb 24 March 1893 vol 10 c1025

House in Committee (according to Order).

Amendments proposed by the Joint Committee of both Houses agreed to.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord HERSCHELL)

My Lords, it is desirable that this Bill should go down to the other House and be dealt with by the Joint Committee there as soon as possible, and, therefore, although the proposal to dispense with the Standing Order was principally in relation to the Money Bill, your Lordships will probably think it not unnatural that I should apply it to this Bill also. I beg to move that the Standing Committee be negatived.

Moved, "That the Standing Committee be negatived."—(The Lord Herschell.)

Motion agreed to.

Amendments reported; Bill read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.
