My Lords, as I understand these Papers are to be placed before the House at an early date, it is unnecessary for me to trouble your Lordships with the Motion of which I have given notice— To move for a copy of any Despatch sent by the Secretary of State for India to the Government of India upon the subject of the Indian Civil Service Examinations; of any opinions recorded by Members of his Council against such Despatch; and to ask for an explanation of his reasons for acting contrary to the advice of his Council.

On the present occasion I need not further refer to the matter.
