HL Deb 17 May 1892 vol 4 cc1093-4

Order of the Day for the Report of Amendments, read.

LORD HERSCHELL

My Lords, the Amendments which I propose to move on the Report are either verbal or such as are necessary to carry out the intention of applying the Bill to Scotland — a proposal has been received with general satisfaction there—and also for the assimilation in some respects of the laws of the two coun- tries, leaving, wherever it is desired, the Scotch law still intact.

Amendments reported (according to order); further Amendments made. Bill to be read 3a on Monday next; and to be printed as amended. (No. 115.)
