HL Deb 28 May 1891 vol 353 cc1170-1
LORD LAMINGTON

My Lords, I beg to ask the question standing in my name which has been put, on two previous occasions, to Her Majesty's Government—whether the Departmental Committee of the Post Office have yet arrived at a decision in respect of cards being allowed transmission through the Post with adhesive halfpenny stamps?

LORD DE RAMSEY

The noble Lord who would naturally answer this question, being absent, owing, I believe, to the prevailing epidemic, I have to say that the Postmaster General informs me the Departmental Committee in question has made a recommendation upon the subject referred to by the noble Lord, and that a decision upon that and all other recommendations of the Committee will shortly be arrived at.

House adjourned at twenty-live minutes before Five o'clock, till to-morrow, a quarter before Eleven o'clock.
