HL Deb 27 July 1891 vol 356 c388

Order of the Day for the Second Reading, read.

THE PRIME MINISTER AND SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (the Marquess of SALISBUBY)

My Lords, this is a Bill for the purpose of increasing the facilities given by the Post Office to the public in a number of small matters, among others that of having re-directed letters sent on without additional payment. All the alterations are in favour of the public, and I have no doubt the Bill will meet with your Lordships' approval.

Bill read 2a (according to order), and committed to a Committee of the Whole House To-morrow.
