HL Deb 20 April 1891 vol 352 c897

Order of the Day for the Second Reading, read.

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Earl BROWNLOW)

My Lords, the object of this Bill is to place Army schools on the same footing as the public elementary schools, with regard to certain charitable endowments and scholarships. It has the concurrence of the Charity Commissioners, and has already passed the other House. I trust your Lordships will give it a Second Reading.

Bill read 2a (according to order), and committed to a Committee of the Whole House to-morrow.
