HL Deb 26 June 1890 vol 346 c22
LORD LAMINGTON

I beg to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they can say whether the Departmental Committee of the Post Office have yet arrived at any decision as to the use of adhesive halfpenny stamps for the transmission of cards through the post?

THE EARL OF JERSEY

I am sorry I cannot give the noble Lord such a definite answer to his question as-he would wish. There have been other questions besides that referred to in the Notice Paper which were laid before the Departmental Committee. The recommendations made by that Committee are before the Postmaster General, who has not yet come to a decision upon them. Therefore, I can only inform the noble Lord that the question is still under consideration.
