HL Deb 19 June 1890 vol 345 cc1320-1

Order of the Day for the Second Reading, read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

This is merely a Consolidation Bill upon the subject of foreign jurisdiction. As the object of it is merely to consolidate the Acts of Parliament, I anticipate no objection. Under ordinary circumstances, I should ask your Lordships to take this Bill in Committee of the whole House; but as it involves, by reason of the consolidation, some small Amendments of the law, I think it would be better that it should go before the Committee on Law.

Read 2a (according to order), and committed to the Standing Committee for Bills relating to Law, etc.
