HL Deb 29 March 1889 vol 334 c1142
LORD NORTON

I beg to ask Her Majesty's Government if it may be hoped that the promised Bill for consolidating and amending the Acts on Reformatory and Industrial Schools will be introduced in this House soon, before our time is more engaged?

EARL BROWNLOW

I had hoped to lay the Reformatory Bill on the Table of the House before this, but some technical difficulties prevented my doing so. However, I shall have it ready to lay before the House on Monday. The Industrial Schools Bill I hope to be able to lay on the Table in a very few days afterwards. Although they are presented at different times, I think it will be convenient to have both Bills before us for consideration at the same time.

House adjourned at a quarter before Seven o'clock, to Monday next, a quarter before Eleven o'clock.
