HL Deb 06 August 1889 vol 339 c531

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE MARQUESS OF LOTHIAN

Considering the lateness of the hour and the amount of labour that we have gone through on a Scotch subject already, I would simply ask your Lordships' permission to read the Bill a second time, proposing on the Committee stage to make whatever statement may be necessary to commend the Bill to the House.

Bill read 2a (according to order), and committed to a Committee of the whole House on Thursday next.
