THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (Earl CADOGAN)

, who bad a Notice on the Paper for a Select Committee to examine and report upon these Standing Orders of the House which related to the conduct of Public Business, said, since he had given the Notice, he had received several representations to the effect that it would be for the convenience of the House if the Motion were postponed for a few days longer. He proposed, therefore, with their Lordships' concurrence, to submit the Motion on Thursday next.
