HL Deb 02 May 1887 vol 314 c496
THE EARL OF KIMBERLEY

asked the Secretary of State for India, Whether the Pishin Valley Railway was yet open for public traffic; and, if not, when it would be?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Viscount CROSS)

My Lords, there are two railways to Quetta, both starting from Sibi, on the North-Western Frontier system. The Bolan route is now quite completed, and traffic is working on it throughout. On the Sind-Pishin route the rails have already been linked through; but the line is not yet opened for traffic. I hope that the railway will be opened shortly.
