Order of the Day for the House to be put into Committee, read.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (The Duke of BUCKINGHAM and CHANDOS)

asked the noble Lord who had charge of the Bill to postpone its consideration till Monday, when the evidence on the subject would have been delivered and be in the hands of noble Lords.

LORD STRATHEDEN AND CAMPBELL

acceded to the request of the noble Duke, and hoped he would use his influence as Chairman of Committees to insure the distribution of the Papers.

Committee of the Whole House put off to Monday next.

House adjourned at a quarter past Seven o'clock, to Monday next, a quarter before Eleven o'clock.
