Order of the Day for the House to be put into Committee, read.

LORD STRATHEDEN and CAMPBELL

, in moving that the House go into Committee on this Bill, apologized for the non-appearance of the evidence taken before the Select Committee.

THE EARL OF WEMYSS

said, he must object to the House going into Commitiee on the Bill, as there was a distinct understanding that the Committee would not be taken until this evidence was forthcoming.

Order discharged, and the House to be put in Committee on Thursday next.
