THE EARL OF DERBY,

who had a Notice on the Paper to ask as to the release of 25,000 prisoners in India, said, that about two hours before coming down to the House he had received a communication from his noble Friend the Secretary of State for India (Viscount Cross) requesting him to postpone until Tuesday next the Questions which stood in his name, in order that his noble Friend might obtain information from India; and, under those circumstances, he would postpone asking the Questions until Tuesday.
