§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord HERSCHELL)said, that by some inadvertence this Bill had been put down that day for the Report stage, whereas it had been intended merely to adjourn the Committee stage with a view to the consideration of the postponed clauses. The best way out of the difficulty would be for him to move their Lordships to agree to the Report, and then to move that the Bill be re-committed next Monday with a view to the consideration of the postponed clauses.
