HL Deb 22 February 1886 vol 302 c843
THE EARL OF LIMERICK

asked the noble Lord who represented the Home Department, Whether the Report of the Committee which had been conducting an inquiry in regard to the conduct of the police in the recent riots was likely to be presented that day, and whether it was in print?

LORD THURLOW

I have to inform the noble Earl that the Home Secretary expects to be able to lay the Report of his Committee on the recent riots before the House of Commons this evening; but it will not be printed for a day or two. The Home Secretary, however, hopes that it will be in the hands of the Members of both Houses of Parliament not later than Wednesday morning next.
