HL Deb 19 February 1886 vol 302 cc702-3
VISCOUNT SIDMOUTH

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether he would lay on the Table a Report of an inquiry into certain irregularities alleged to have taken place in connection with the matriculation examination in the University of Malta?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Earl GRANVILLE)

, in reply, said, that no Report upon the subject had been received at the Colonial Office. His Predecessor in Office, in consequence of a Notice which was given by the noble Viscount, wrote to the Governor of Malta to send a Report to the Colonial Office; but it had not yet arrived. When it came he would look it through, and inform the noble Viscount whether there would be any objection to its production.
