HL Deb 27 March 1885 vol 296 c802
LORD NORTON

asked the noble Earl the First Commissioner of Works, Whether he could now inform their Lordships what the Government were doing as to the designs for the restoration of the west side of Westminster Hall?

THE EARL OF ROSEBERY

said, that the treatment of the west side of Westminster Hall was now out of the hands of his Department, and for the present it had passed into the hands of a Committee of the House of Commons. When it had reported, the evidence and the drawings would be laid before that House, so that the Members could exercise a judgment upon them.
