§ The LORD PRESIDENT acquainted the House that Her Majesty had been pleased to create the Eight Honourable Sir Hardinge Stanley Giffard, Knight, Lord Chancellor of Great Britain, a Peer of this Realm, by the title of Baron Halsbury of Halsbury in the county of Devon, and his Lordship, having retired to robe, was introduced in the usual manner.
