acquainted the House "That Her Majesty had appointed Admiral the Honourable Sir James Robert Drummond, G.C.B., to be Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod in the room of General the Right Honourable Sir -William Thomas Knollys, K.C.B., deceased, and that he was at the door ready to receive their Lordships commands," whereupon the House directed he should be called in; accordingly he was called in and officiated in his place.
