HL Deb 03 July 1883 vol 281 c177

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

LORD O'HAGAN

, in moving that the Bill be now read a second time, said, that it was intended to carry out the recommendations of a Committee which inquired into the subject of extending the provisions of the Bank Holiday Act to the clerks in the Registry of Deeds Office in Ireland. The proposal was to add four holidays to that which the clerks at present enjoyed, and he thought no one would be inclined to oppose such a proposal.

Moved, "That the Bill be now read 2a"—(The Lord O'Hagan.)

Motion agreed to; Bill read 2a accordingly, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House on Thursday next.
