THE LORD CHAMBERLAIN OF THE HOUSEHOLD (The Earl of KENMARE)

reported Her Majesty's Answer to the Address as follows:—

MY LORDS,

I HAVE received with much satisfaction your loyal Address, and I thank you sincerely for the expression of your good wishes on the approaching marriage of My son.

I rely with confidence on your assurance that the important measures which will he laid before you will receive your attentive consideration, and I shall gladly endeavour to co-operate with you in your efforts to promote the happiness and prosperity of all classes of My People.
