LORD MONTEAGLEI wish to ask the noble Duke the Lord President of the Council, Whether Her Majesty's Government have yet been informed that the greater number of works presented by the Special Baronial Sessions of the county of Mayo are proposed to be executed, not by contract, but by day work, or task work, under the supervision of the county surveyor; whether 2 the works so executed have been sanctioned by the Commissioners of Public Works; and, if so, what proportion?
