THE DUKE OF RICHMOND AND GORDONreplied, that a Memorial had been presented to the Queen in Council, praying that Her Majesty might be graciously pleased to grant a Charter for a Northern University, to be called the Victoria University, and that the 931 advice of Her Majesty's Government was, that Her Majesty be pleased to grant the prayer of the Memorialists.
