HL Deb 19 March 1877 vol 233 c90
EARL GRANVILLE

asked the Lord President, What arrangements the Government intend to propose with respect to the Easter Recess?

THE DUKE OF RICHMOND AND GORDON

replied that they proposed to ask the House to adjourn for the Easter Recess on Friday next, unless there should be any necessity for their Lordships to meet on a subsequent day to pass any Bill which might come up from the other House; and they proposed that, in accordance with what had been done for the last two years, their Lordships should re-assemble on Thursday, the 12th of April.
