LORD ORANMORE AND BROWNEannounced that the Rev. E. Hermann Cross—to whose appointment by the Lord Chancellor to St. Michael's, Lewes, he had called attention a few days back—had severed his connection with the Society of the Holy Cross, and desired, on behalf of the parishioners of St. Michael's, to thank the Lord Chancellor and the Bishop of Chichester for having used their influence to this desirable end.
