HL Deb 25 July 1871 vol 208 c216
EARL COWPER

, on moving the suspension of a Standing Order in favour of this Bill, stated that the London tramways, which were originally included in the measure, had been postponed till next Session, and that the Lowestoft tramway, the only part of the Bill which was opposed, would be struck out in Committee.

LORD REDESDALE

did not object to the Motion, the late arrival of the Bill in this House being attributable to the course which had been taken with regard to the London tramways.

House adjourned at a quarter before Six o'clock, to Thursday next, half past Ten o'clock.
