THE DUKE OF RICHMOND moved, in lines 13 and 14, to leave out "a year," and insert "six months," with the view of limiting to the latter period the interval at the termination of which a notice to quit should take effect.

EARL GRANVILLE

accepted the Amendment, observing that it was important that differences between landlord and tenant should not extent over a longer time than was absolutely necessary; but stated his intention of adding a few explanatory words to the clause on the Report.
