said, their Lordships would probably remember that about a year ago much was said about a quantity of iron ballast that was used for paving the dockyards, and of the great waste this was to the public service. He understood that this iron ballast had since been offered for sale; and with a view to ascertain the value of the iron, it was his intention to move on Thursday next for a Return of the number of tons of iron sold, and of the amount of money received for them and paid into the Treasury.
