HL Deb 22 March 1867 vol 186 c372
EARL STANHOPE

said, he observed it had been stated in the House of Commons that a Return of great importance would be laid upon the table of that House—he believed it was to be produced that night—illustrative of the number of persons that may be expected, under the proposed Reform Bill, to have votes, and in other respects having an important bearing on that measure. Now, he thought it was very desirable that their Lordships' House should also have the same information; and he hoped, therefore, that the noble Earl at the head of the Government would consent that whatever information was laid before the other House should also be produced to their Lordships.

THE EARL OF DERBY

thought the request of the noble Earl perfectly reasonable. He had no difficulty in promising that their Lordships should have all the information that may be laid on the table of the other House.
