THE LORD CHANCELLORpresented a Bill to amend the administration of Justice in the Court of Chancery. At present, while the Master of the Rolls was an equity Judge, and next in rank to the Lord Chancellor, an appeal lay from his judgment to the Lords Justices. He proposed that when a vacancy should occur among the Lords Justices the Master of the Rolls should become a Lord Justice, and that a new Vice Chancellor should be appointed in his place.
