THE ARCHBISHOP OF YORKsaid, he desired to remove a misapprehension that prevailed in some quarters that the object of the Bill was to force Church education upon railway companies. That was a mistake. His whole contention was that railway companies were to receive nothing from that House beyond permission to do their duty, leaving it to them to decide in what manner they should perform it.
