The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, That, by virtue of the Power granted to him as Lord Chancellor by the Statute 5th Geo. IV, Cap. 82, Sect. 4, he had appointed the Honourable Slingsby Bethell to be their Lordships Reading Clerk and Clerk of Out-door Committees in the Room of Leonard Edmunds, Esquire, resigned.

Then it was moved, That this House do approve of the Appointment of the Honourable Slingsby Bethell as their Lordships Reading Clerk and Clerk of Out-door Committees in the Room of Leonard Edmunds, Esquire, resigned.

On Question, Resolved in the Affirmative.
