THE LORD CHANCELLOR

said, that as this Bill had been the subject of a good deal of discussion, the Government thought the best mode of dealing with it in that House was to refer it to a Select Committee.

Order of the Day for the House to be put into Committee discharged, and Bill referred to a Select Committee.
