HL Deb 25 February 1864 vol 173 c1063
THE MARQUESS OF CLANRICARDE

asked, Whether the arbitrators in Captain Melville Whyte's case against the Government of Peru had given, or were likely soon to give, a decision in that matter?

EARL RUSSELL

said, the last account the Government had received with reference to the matter was that which he had stated to their Lordships a few evenings ago—namely, that one of the Senators of Hamburgh had the papers in his hands for the purpose of making a report to the Senate. He would inquire whether the affair could be expedited.
