inquired of the President of the Council, Whether any investigation would be instituted as to the nature and extent of the organization manifested by the disloyal proceedings in Dublin, Cork, and other towns in Ireland?

was understood to say, that the matter had attracted the attention of the Government, and that an investigation into the nature and origin of those proceedings was being made by the authorities in Ireland.
