said, it was a very important measure, and he should be glad to know whether the right hon. Baronet the Secretary of State for the Home Department was satisfied with its provisions.

SIR GEORGE GREY

said, he thought that, upon the whole, it would be a very useful Bill, and therefore he had made no objection to the second reading.
