Moved to Resolve, That as regards the Corrupt Practices Prevention Act (1854) Continuance Bill, inasmuch as the Provisions of that Act and of the Act amending the same with respect to Bribery, Treating, and undue Influence at Elections of Members of Parliament will almost immediately expire unless the same be continued by this Bill, it is the Opinion of this House, that the Circumstances which render Legislation on the Subject of the said Bill expedient are of such Urgency as to render the immediate Consideration of the same necessary.
