THE LORD CHANCELLOR

acquainted the House that he had received a letter from the Viscount Canning, Governor General of the British Possessions in the East Indies, inclosing letters from Major General Sir James Outram, G.C.B., and the Hon. Frederick James Halliday, Lieutenant Governor of Bengal, in return to the Thanks of this House and to the Resolutions of the 8th of February and 16th of March last, communicated to him in obedience to Orders of this House of the said 8th of February and 16th of March.

The said letters being read, were ordered to lie on the table, and to be entered on the Journals.
