HL Deb 09 March 1857 vol 144 c2026
LORD LYNDHURST

asked the noble and learned Lord on the woolsack what course he meant to pursue with respect to the Divorce and Testamentary Jurisdiction Bills.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

replied, that in the present state of Parliament it was not the intention of the Government to proceed further with either of those Bills during the present Session; but they would be reintroduced, with some alterations, at the very earliest period after the reassembling of Parliament.
