HL Deb 09 August 1855 vol 139 c2025

Moved, to resolve— That the Public Health Act, 1854, Continuance and Amendment Bill was unavoidably delayed in the House of Commons pending the Progress of other Measures which would have superseded the Necessity of the Continuance of the existing Board of Health by a separate Act; but inasmuch as the Bills now before this House do not contain any such Provisions, the Circumstances which render Legislation on the Subject Matter of the said Bill expedient are of such Urgency as to render the immediate Consideration of the same necessary.

Agreed to; Bill read 2a (according to Order), and committed to a Committee of the Whole House To-morrow.
