HL Deb 04 February 1850 vol 108 c257
The LORD CHAMBERLAIN (the Marquess of BREADALBANE)

acquainted the House that Her Majesty had been pleased to return the following most gracious Answer to their Lordships' Address: — MY LORDS, I thank you for your loyal and dutiful Address. It is highly gratifying to Me to receive such an Assurance of your Feelings' on the Loss which the Royal Family and the whole Nation have sustained by the Death of Her Majesty Queen Adelaide. It will be My Study to promote the Welfare of My People, and to watch over the important Interests confided to My Care.

On the Motion of the LORD CHANCELLOR, Her Majesty's most gracious Answer was ordered to be entered upon the Journals of the House.
