HL Deb 25 April 1843 vol 68 c887
The Duke of Wellington

My Lords, your Lordships have all heard of the happy event announced to the public this day—the birth of a princess—and I avail myself of the earliest opportunity, in conformity with the established practice of your Lordships' House, to move an address of congratulation to her Majesty on the auspicious occasion. The noble Duke then moved, That an humble address be presented to her Majesty, congratulating her Majesty on the birth of another Princess, and to assure her Majesty that every addition to her Majesty's domestic happiness affords the highest satisfaction to the House of Lords.

Motion agreed to nem. diss.

Address to be presented to her Majesty by the Lords with white staves.
