The Lord Chancellorannounced that their Lordships had, in conjunction with the Members of the House of Commons, carried up an Address to his Majesty, to which his Majesty had been pleased to return the following most gracious Answer:—
§ "My Lords and Gentlemen;—I thank you for this affectionate expression of your feelings, in consequence of the attack lately made upon my person.
§ "I rely with confidence on the loyalty and attachment of my people; and you may be assured of my anxious and unremitting solicitude to ensure to them the blessings which they enjoy under our free Constitution."
