, in consequence of its being impossible, at that late period of the session, to come to any agreement respecting the provisions in the Insolvent Debtor's Bill, moved to postpone it for three months, stating that he should give his support to the bill which it was understood would be sent up from the other House, for continuing, for a limited time, the old Insolvent act.

After a few words from lord Redesdale and the lord chancellor, the motion was agreed to.
