A ballot took place for a secret committee to consider the state of the Bank of England, with reference to the resumption of cash payments, &c. The election fell upon, the following lords, viz.:—The lord president (earl of Harrowby), the duke of Wellington, the marquess of Lansdown, the duke of Montrose, the earl of Liverpool, the earl of St. Germans, earl Bathurst, viscount Sidmouth, the earl of Aberdeen, viscount Granville, lord King, lord Grenville, lord Redesdale, and the earl of Lauderdale.
