Message from the Commons, That they have come to the following Resolution, namely: That it is expedient that a Select Committee of the Commons be appointed to join with a Committee of the Lords to consider the desirability of altering the customary period of the Parliamentary Session and the incidental changes necessary thereto, and to desire their Lordships' concurrence thereto; the said Message to be taken into consideration to-morrow.

The LORD SPEAKER acquainted the House, That the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificates from the Examiners that the Standing Orders applicable to the following Bills have been complied with:

Ministry of Health Provisional Orders (No. 6),

Ministry of Health Provisional Orders (No. 8),

Ministry of Health Provisional Orders (No. 10).

The same were ordered to lie on the Table.

Report from the Committee of Selection that the Lord Hastings be proposed to the House as a Member of the Select Committee on the said Bills in the place of the Lord Erskine; read, and agreed to.
