53 If a maintenance agreement includes a provision purporting to restrict any right to apply to a court for an order containing financial arrangements—

  1. (a) that provision is void, but
  2. (b) any other financial arrangements contained in the agreement—
    1. (i) are not void or unenforceable as a result, and
    2. (ii) unless void or unenforceable for any other reason, are (subject to paragraphs 54 and 58) binding on the parties to the agreement.
